R.I.P
I went to lay some Flowers for Ray at Loftus Road today and that was really sad.
I offer my condolences to Puerta's family, friends and everybody connected in anyway with Sevilla FC.

Anton Reid at Walsall, Ray Jones at QPR and now Antonio Puerta at Sevilla. It's a dark week for football, and, needless to say, their families. RIP.

And just to add that a Leicester player suffered a heart attack last night as well - hope he makes a full and speedy recovery

And just to add that a Leicester player suffered a heart attack last night as well - hope he makes a full and speedy recovery I think he's actually a Sudnerland player on loan, but technicalities - I hope he survives! There's been an awful lot of them of late, haven't there?

Sounds like Clarke'll be ok..
"He was treated with a defibrillator in the dressing room and spent the evening in a "stable" condition in hospital." From the BBC.
Really hope he has a speedy recovery.

Another death this time to a Zambian international in Israel. Unbelievable. Hapoel Beer Sheva forward Chaswe Nsofwa has died. The Zambian-born striker collapsed during a training session with the Israeli club and, despite attempts to resuscitate him on the pitch, he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards upon arrival at Soroka Hospital. Carmel Cohen, a paramedic, said to the Associated Press, "When we arrived we found the soccer player lying on the grass. We found his friends trying to help him. "We gave him first aid, electric shocks and an external pacemaker, but despite all our efforts, he was declared dead at the hospital." The Zambian striker represented Zanaco in his home country, before a spell with Krylya Sovetov Samara in Russia. Later, he represented Kallithea Athinas of Greece and Malaysia's Melaka Telekom. An international player, he took part in the African Cup of Nations in 2002. He was 27 at the time of his tragic death. This incident follows on from Antonio Puerta's untimely death on Tuesday, after collapsing while playing for Sevilla against Getafe on Sunday.
