Exactly what my brother said. A man of taste. I hope he was similarly pissed off about Samantha Morton missing out on an award......don't even have to see a film in its entirety to know that she was brill in it! ;D Encouraged by Atonement's lack of success so far. Oh he is. All of my music, film and TV taste comes from him...

Well Joaquin Phoenix worked miracles on 'Walk The Line'. Ah yeah. I quite Franco, he looks a bit like him. I liked him when he played James Dean too. Jeff would hate the idea of a film about him (she says as if she knows him! lol) That last statement did sound a little creepy!!

Am I the only one who dislikes Ross' style of presenting? He's knowledgeable about films (Film whatever year it is is quite good), yet he presents it like a complete cock. Didn't Stephen Fry present it last year, or am I thinking of another version...?

Stephen Fry did it for a few years on the bounce, but when he decided against it doing it again I think Ross was probably the automatic choice. Not sure about his taste in films at times to be honest. Comedians and comic actors are always chosen, and I'm not sure that there are many over options for hosts though.

He has to make some kind of pervy comment at times, he can be good. But other times, he makes me want to take a cricket bat to the TV... Anyway. Part II. Laters!

Seeya Han. Of course. Hm, I quite fancy seeing Juno too. And I thought that the piece showing who's died was so very well done.

Well, with the exception of the dubious, if not unexpected selection of 'Atonement' for 'Best Film' I think the Academy made some pretty good choices overall. There seemed to be quite a wide spread of awards and it was good to see 'This Is England' (a beneficiary of Atonement's Best Film win) and 'Control' get significant recognition.
Did anyone else Diablo Cody pick up the 'Best Original Screenplay' award? I'm not say that the ex-stripper looked like a fish out of water but....... ;D
