Well, if we can hold on for this draw (or even sneak a last gasp win?!), that sets us up favourably, I'd think. I would, honestly, expect Japan to lose to Germany, and us to beat the Argies - and I believe that'd put us 1pt ahead of the Japs if we draw here?

0-0, that should be enough as long as we beat the argies.

We beat Argentina, we're through. Simple as that.

We beat Argentina, we're through. Simple as that. Unless Japan draw with the Germans and we only beat the Argies by 1 goal... I'm not normally such a pessimist, but England warrant the exception

Just watched the highlights of todays games - was hilarious!! Some of the defending wouldnt go amiss in a sunday pub team, the goalkeeping is funny as fuck (and Ghana's keeper is actually fatter than Paddy Kenny). Also saw the worst miss ive ever seen (Ghana vs Denmark). Mind you, some good goals and the occasional cute player to look at!

Anything other than defeat against the Hand of God Squad (Ladies) will see England's Ladies through, imo.

It should indeed, but we are cursed with stunningly bad luck as a nation, so lets just hit 'em for six and be done with it.

2-0 (Scott)
In the words of the commentator: 'Two softer goals you will never see'
EDIT: Should clarify, J. Scott...

Actually, I doubt if this Argentina side have ever scored two goals in a match.

What ever happened to Rachell Unitt when I was watching Euro 05 she was all the talk and now its all about Kelly Smith; two great players but never heard what happened.
Karen Carney has done amazing in these past two years;; she got her England debut in 05 and she has gone from strength to strength playing great !
Abd the goalkeeper Brown is quite good especially compared to the other women goalkeepers Ive seen play in the world cup so far !
Shame about the draw against the Japanese but a great free kick for the last kick of the game;; !
Come on England, maybe we'll have more of a chance to win with the women rather than the men Lol !

Unitt I think has been kind of squeezed out by Alex Scott and Casey Stoney.
Carney is bloody brilliant, rested today unfortunately, for Yankey, who hasn't really been on it this tournament.
Brown's a very good keeper, considering alternatives, especially the Argies...
Hey, Sh*t happens
Almost certainly, with Smiley Steve in charge.

Well done BBC I notice there's no mention of "If Japan win..." there. I mean, I know it's not likely, but if ever they were to bring a curse upon the team, that'd do it! (Yes, I realise we're 2-0 up and Japan are 1-0 down - but this is England, after all!)
