No comment ;D The gist of the comments were 1. Do we need as many mods? 2. 5 out of 7 Mods were regulars on the RBNO thread (captions). All therefore having similar tastes in humour, decency etc. The question was then raised should there not be a more representative panel of Mods. (NO insult was intended to the existing Mods) That was pretty much the gist of the thread however a couple of younger posters posted crap about wanting communism and one of the Mods mistakenly thought it was a personal attack Seems a total nonsense to me. Without getting myself in trouble, it seems whoever made that decision, maybe on a power trip, seems most unjustified.

CLS, you know me from BBC 606 days, when I'm on one, I express my opinion and hold no barrs.
But I will be careful on here, as I like the community and everyone from other boards also seem very friendly.

The mods being a clique was never answered (and Hulse and AC are exonerated here, as they were newly appointed). Why the ban for Mort now? Surely it can't be for reiterating the same question.

That's what I got my warning for, and Morton initially (albeit a week late) His banning now was something to do with posting repeated crap (hard to believe I know) in retaliation to a Mod changing his name to something uncomplimentary I wasn't about so not sure exactly what he did but on the very bare facts above, it seems harsh The gist of the comments were 1. JTS, you feel very strongly about this, nothing worse than an injustice, and with Morton being a popular member, this decision will not go down well. Does anyone know the length of his ban?

No idea who did it but presumably the admins make these decisions. No wonder there is turmoil at the top. The mods have to be responsible or the system collapses.

Seems a strange course of action from the admin team, as Morton is probably the most active poster and integrates well with all.
He appeared to be an integral part of this boards success.

JTS, you feel very strongly about this, nothing worse than an injustice, and with Morton being a popular member, this decision will not go down well. Does anyone know the length of his ban? As you probably realise by now, I don't like people abusing their power at whatever level. Logic and reason are king in my opinion. Its unfortunate. This site seemed to have a more balanced leadership than others (Sportztalk and GoalPosts were/are quite autocratic), but this site has had so much petty feuding at the top recently, I'm not surprised the bans are coming out. Just remember, Goalposts and Blueheaven (run by a woman and much more relaxed) still exist.
