I know, how could you know. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) But I think this might be up for a record for the amount of football talk. A couple of bad boys, but good players. I never really saw Bellamy as a real possibility. But next I know, he will be signed. I like Mido, but I don't htink he'd be happy in a rotation as the junior big striker behind Berbatov. Its a football thread when the girls aren't around is probably the more accurate term! Can't see Mr DF and Morton chatting up you and Mozza....no offence mind ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Hang on, you mean to say you were going to get Mido as well as Berbatov? I thought cos the Mido deal went dead you completely switched targets ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) Thats a bit harsh Hulsey, SB was around and it was still a football thread,

Lol you got to laugh....! ;D Hang on, you mean to say you were going to get Mido as well as Berbatov? I thought cos the Mido deal went dead you completely switched targets ![???](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/huh.png) The two together seems unlikely. Berbatov might be reason for the lower interest in Mido. I think the deal was available for Mido, but his agent kept mouthing off about other clubs being interested. I still wouldn't rule out Mido totally, but he doesn't seem a squad player. If not the automatic first choice he might not be a happy camper. It seems Charlton Cole is the favourite for the backup role.

The reason i made that comment was cos i saw SB post the thread and went to make a comment....posted my message only to see 2 messages already posted in the blink of an eye! Mind you you have a point. Mido has been a bit of a sulky bastard in the past (e.g just look at the recent african nations cup thing) and the last thing you want is bad egg foreigners ruining the team spirit being built which is a strong british mentality. Sorry mate, i do not rate Cole, can see it as nothing more than a waste of space....think you'd be much better off looking elsewhere to be honest

Hulsey, to be fair to DF, we did continue with the Spurs talk for quite a while when SB left. Of course, it could have been a first for DF, but then again there haven't been a lot of Spurs supporters on these boards before.
Where's that fence smiley.

Well im not here to judge.....nothing wrong with talking general chit chat anyway.....can see how it would get annoying if there was constantly no footy chat being discussed but if there is then cool its no worries, none of my buisness really anyway ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png)

Sorry mate, i do not rate Cole, can see it as nothing more than a waste of space....think you'd be much better off looking elsewhere to be honest Not sure what to think of Cole. Lots of potential, but hasn't produced at Chelsea or on his loan spells. I only mentioned him as it is one of the more persistent rumours. Doesn't make that much sense, as he wants to move to get playing time, which is not likely with us unless he shows something completely unexpected.

I haven't seen enough of him to say what he would bring to the midfield tbh JTS. Hear rave reviews of him a bit tho. If they did bring him in I guess at least 2 would go from the current crop. Who would you say has been the least impressive?

Yeah when you put it like that it just doesnt make sense for him to consider moving. A handy player that you could have got if he was up for it would have been Henrik Larsson. He's still got it and you could have got a ouple of good years out of him....he's got european experience also which would have been a great plus.

Davids is presumably on his way to Ajax. Ghaly is the obvious replacement, but we have yet to see him play (injury, then two games with the reserves). Huddlestone at 19 is a tremendous prospect so i can't see him moving on yet. And Carrick is the starter as defensive CM. If Zakora is a more box-to-box player, then he could challenge Jenas, Tainio and Murphy. The only one vulnerable would be Murphy, but he's only had two starts. So unless he is considered so much better than anyone else, I'm not sure what to think. But I will be watching the Ivory Coast games at the world cup.

They both should qualify. But it will determine our likley quarterfinal opponent. I think I'd just prefer Holland to win the group.

The way its just a sea of orange when they play and the chants as their fans are quite fun but loud! They have the band playing also which adds to the atmosphere and their football is always technically immense especially with Van Basten at the helm. I got a tenner down on them at 14-1 and am hoping it pays off should England falter. I suppose you'll have a little interest in Mr Kuiyt also......

Generally the thought is we got Berbatov in preference to or because Kuyt was unavailable. But he might still be a possibility if Defoe is leaving.
Just because we are Spurs fans, doesn't mean we have any more idea than anyone else.

Maybe even Jenas, he has bags of potential and has not reached nowhere near the level he can imo. Lets see what this Zakora bloke brings to the WC, if he is anything special, if he performs to the levels the press have been ranting about, I think bigger clubs ie the Milans may be interested so it could become a battle to sign him.... Will be interesting whatever!
