Duff would fit our biggest need very well.
I doubt Chelsea will sell, but it is possible with Shev and Ballack that they will go to a 4-4-2 diamond more often and need less wingers. But he could be expensive.
I also wonder how robust a Lennon-Jenas-Carrick-Duff midfield would be. We might need to go to 4-3-3 with:
Jenas - HUddlestone/Ghaly - Carrick
Lennon - Berbatov - Duff
But then what to do with Keane and Defoe.

Joe Cole seems the player who wanted to win the most - same in the last few minutes of the B international.

i think joe cole could be the best English player in Germany, hes matured enough to make a real impact and the pressure to perform is all on lampard, stevie g, beckham and rooney (if fit) before him
