JTS, long time no see! Hope you have had a warm welcome to the board mate Yes sort of. When Sportztalk went downlast week I had a look on here. The Spurs board was full of you and JJ enjoying the Lasagnagate incident. Never have had you two down as closet gooners.

Well im no closet gooner but i do want them to win the champions league and i also agreed with him that what was done was done and that seeking to replay the game wasn't really on. Of course being honest, i think i'd have reacted differently if it was my own team in that position

I don't think Levy expected the game to be replayed. He wanted the leagues position on on why the game was not called off when Spurs requested it on sunday morning and why the decision was made without ascertaining the facts.
Once the game was played it couldn't be replayed because of double jeopardy arguments. Spurs should have called the game off because when Boro called a game off they were only docked three points, which would not have harmed our European position even if the league had rejected our reasons for calling the game off. As the game went ahead, I can only surmise that Scudamore threatened a larger penalty.
Anyway, Levy got what he wanted. I poorly drafted reply from Scudamore with a number of factual errors. I suspect we will see this in court, unless the PL pay some form of compensation.

I guess your right when you mention about Scudamore 'threatening a larger penalty' i mean could this mean that we don't know the whole truth and that something happened behind the scenes? I guess your club had heaps of pressure on them seeing as it was the last day and of course had you postponed Arsenal would have moaned and it would have opened up a whole new can of worms

The club should have postponed the game but didn't after Levy talked with Scudamore, who was on his way to the Jolly at Highbury.
With a three deduction, we'd have still qualified for the UEFA Cup, so what did Scudamore say.
It was unfortunate that the game was the last game of the season and against a FA Cup finalist. Any team apart from West Ham, Liverpool or Boro could have postponed the game 24 or 48 hours. But with the FA Cup final and the FIFA May 15th (?) deadline it was hard to find a fair time to replay the game.
But if Arsenal or Man United players had fallen sick, do you really think the PL would have insisted the game go ahead?
