Although Quinn has heart and passion for the club how many of you wish that McCarthy was still there

I was thinking that. He took a shite team, sewed them together with lower league players and bargains - took them to a playoff semi and an FA Cup final in his first season then won the league the next.
Can't blame the fella for not being backed by the board when they went back up - he did what was asked of him

I didn't like his negative attitude when we were in the prem to be honest

What was his attitude like when he took you to the FA Cup Final and then the Championship Title

I think I'd be negative too if I'd led a team on the verge of collapse back to the top flight within two seasons and the chairman failed to give me anything to strengthen the team with.
He's not my favourite bloke in the world of football but perhaps he is better off somewhere less fickle

I thought that you guys had quite an awesome Championship side, are Sunderland in a transition period or is something not quite right with the team?

It's going to take time to turn them around after being the worst team in recent top flight history - morale must be rock bottom. It's a really bad situation, they need to find someone up for the challenge and up to the task. Quinn just doesn't have the managerial experience IMO and I can only see things getting worse before they get better.

we need to attract more players to the SoL it'll take a long time to build a proper team and we may have to do it from League 1
