Intereting to have a starring role... Don't like jalapenos.... Great effort, again. Exalted... there's nevr a lack of effort as teh corridoes are maintained.

Cameo role for me. Too famous for anything on small scale stuff like this Your role was crucial in the plot though...

Talking to yourself again Pastie? You've been stood too close to Dan's gardening project ;D Bit of a mess all round Ro. Just raiding the Grolsch from the frdge I just hat to wake the wife up (she went ape-shit)! I told her it was an emergencey as I know she bought a new case of stella today. But I couldn't find it, well the light switch for the gagrage anyway. She threw me a ciggie lighter and told me to 'piss off and be quiet'. Found the beers - trouble is they werent frigerated and at -5 are too bloody cold! A few seconds in the microwave will do the trick (must rembmer to take beer out of can first though.

Very interesting topic of talk in pub though - obviusly about the manager of England.
The landlord posed a question as they do (and not "what you having lads?") which was "McClaren was basically a shit manager - but why do you have be a footballer / experienced football manger to do the job. Isn't football mangement the same as say running a Blue Chip Company - a shop - a section or team whatever. At end of the day you do research (opposition / market forces), decide tactics (policies), select the team (recruit) and attain set tragets (winning in football). If it's not going to plan you use your managerial nous to switch things around (subsitutions / formations or move staff around the office, qucik fix training courses in the office).
All mangers have targets - and you use whatever's at your disposal to achieve them. So you need to do your research, train the players (that's what coaches are for) pick a leader on the pitch (cos as manger you can't be on the pitch with the team), able to switch things and think quickkly on your feet, and if targets have been met you get to bask in the glory and share your achievements with whoever.
I manage a business unit of 18 staff. Staff morale is high, I've excellent man-management skills and I achieve targets, and not worried about introducing new concepts and policies to achieve them. I'm confident and am able to admit my mistakes (not that I make many)!
Upshot is - I think I should be considered for the England managers vacancy and I'll do for £1m per annum!
(Besides - players worried about "Fergie hairdrier" - they'll fucking shit when it comes to a Roaster Rant")
