thought so ;D you were about as neutral as Germany in 1939 ;D LOL, aww, I could have just made the joke without acknowledging that I knew it would piss you off if I said it "properly"

He'll probably 'forget' his captains armband. well he had to go shopping didnt he ;D I actually think it's a good choice & I like the cut of Capello's jib. He's already said that he'll be rotating the captaincy in the friendly matches before the WC Qualifiying games start. Ferdinand has matured since the missed drug test saga, learnt his lesson, and has helped form a solid defence at club level. He sets a better example than that prick Terry anyway.

He sets a better example than that prick Terry anyway. Agreed - there aren't really many captain figures in the side at the mo anyway (good players, yes; leaders, less so), so given the alternatives, Rio's not such a bad choice. I also like the point Capello (I think) made - if someone does one bad thing, do we hold it against them for the rest of their lives? If so, every one of us is probably fucked! Must admit, I think Capello's said and done a lot of the right things so far, as opposed to Smiley's early days. Gonna be interested to see how the match goes tonight!
