what a win, birmingham and derby both beaten at home. if only we could beat the rubbish teams.
Sounded like we were the better team, up to 14th still above norwich and with a couple of wins could snick into the top half

But that was when Sunderland were piss poor though The Bruce vs Derby Goalkeeper incident. Well, they squared up and had their faces right into each other. Then one of them, think it may've been Bruce hit the other and things got way out of hand. Both deserved a red in my opinion, you can't hit someone and get away with it. Have absolutely no idea what the goalkeeper was doing. Bruce was walking off, accepting his punishment, but then the goalkeeper (can't remember his name, just wanted to give you my perspective on the incident because I had a pretty clear view) came up behind Bruce and started the whole thing all over again. How there was only 7 minutes injury time at the end of the first half I'll never know! Fantastic result though! ;d ;d ;d

Jim Magilton intends to appeal against Alex Bruce's red card. Little point really seeing as it will most likely be extended on appeal as we aren't really playing for much.

What an awesome game. This was not the Ipswich I saw play Palace in February (yet there were few changes to the team). Wilnis was immense the whole game, Walters ran his socks off the whole game and Peters was a contiuous thorn in their side as well.
Derby are a bunch of timewasters though. I mean seriously, when you're asked to take a player off the pitch by the ref, then do it. Don't wait 1-2 mins then take him off then want to put him straight back on once he's gone off the pitch. And 30-45 seconds for a throw in? Come on guys, get serious.
Pics and vids to follow in next couple of days
Oh yeh, and what a good atmosphere from the North stand today!

Billy Davies is looking at appealing for Bywater as well, and reckons two yellow cards would have sufficed! Bywater was out of order for reacting the way he did, but Bruce was at fault for throwing a punch - but like BD says it was handbags until the reds came out then all hell broke loose! Its a waste of time appealing either of em in my opinion as they'll both get done for violent conduct for what happened in the tunnel!

I took some pictures as well Sorry about the quality of my pictures, they're from my phone: Three Derby players warm up, however the middle one is Darren Currie. Still as slow as ever... Derby fans. North and Cobbold Stand, with a fairly crap picture quality of Ipswich warming up... Pre match sprinklers. One more for Gres and co... Bywater being dragged away form Bruce by stewards. Half time. And then I went to go bowl people out...

Well this game very nearly descended into absolute farce. Just when I thought Alex Bruce had bloody calmed down. A cracking result though. I know it might sound silly now we know the result but I honestly did believe we could win this one because: - Derby were hitting a bad patch of form
- We were in good form (apart from the Sheff Wed game, though I'd tip Wednesday as dark horses for promotion next season - you heard it here first!)
- Derby have always been shit at Portman Road
- We've actually been all right at home this season
- The pressure was all on them
I'm very pleased that my faith in the team's ability was proven right on this occasion. ;D ----------------- P.S. Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please let us make a permanent deal for Jeffers. Thanks, Blackburn.
