I'd love us to get a live game (seeing as poor, slightly crazy old me has STILL never seen my beloved Ipswich playing live; be it at Portman Road, away from Portman Road or on TV!!) So what is likely to give us a live game? Well the only ways we could even stand a chance of one is: Ipswich (5) v Norwich (13) or Norwich (13) v Ipswich (7) - Norwich are of course yet to get through, but they probably will... However knowing that Wolves v West Brom, another fiery derby, didn't get a live game, it's doubtful the BBC would bother. Ipswich (5) v Watford (2) - Someone in the Premiership who the BBC think we may be able to beat, but knowing we've performed poorly, the BBC wouldn't think we were in a position to upset anyone, especially with Watford winning at West Ham in the 4th Round. Besides, Ipswich v Watford is not a desperately appealing prospect (although I don't know what they saw in Luton v Blackburn either...) Ipswich (5) v Chelsea (4)/Arsenal (1)/Man Utd (12) or Chelsea (4)/Arsenal (1)/Man Utd (12) v Ipswich (5) - Arsenal yet to get through obviously. It'd be the dream tie for us, but I doubt the BBC would even bother with live coverage of that, thinking we pose no threat and that we aren't a lower team like Nottingham Forest. (Numbers accompanying teams are those in Monday's draw, so listen out!!) So, the odds of a live game are very slim, though I hold out hope that we might just get one if the rest of the draw is shite or the BBC decides "hey, Ipswich haven't been on here in a while"... ...but we'll see, won't we...
