Two men are walking down the street. Man number one says 'I have two children, a boy and a girl, it is the boy's birthday today'. Man two says 'I also have a boy who's birthday is today, I also have two children' Now the question is simple. What is the probability that man two's other child (the one who's birthday is not today) is a boy? Yes, this is not a trick question, there are four children involved. i'm sure there is a mathematical solution, but i'd say a 100% as man two would logically say 'I also have a boy who's birthday is today, I also have two boys' not 'I also have a boy who's birthday is today, I also have two children' if they were both boys - which is why i think gt also said 100% scientifically more girls survive into childhood than boys too so that would suggest a percentage above 50% that its a girl (as with the guessing of any child's sex) what was the answer and why?
