I thought in the end we were lucky to get a draw.....we didnt look like scoring and as the home team we didnt create enough imo. I think a draw was spot on, fair result and all credit to both sets of fans for providing a great atmosphere to what was really an average game. We were poor i thought. Defending we looked nervous and shakey whilst attacking we looked short of ideas. We are gonna need to buck our ideas up or its over.

Healy was good I though in this game one of the main instituters of chances. Hulse was very quite though, change the tactics/team slightly for Monday and we should win Too much panic up front, too much panic in defense. All we need is some composure. Good to see Cress back.....and straight into it! Should be a cracking return leg - no away goals rule.

Had the match on through my surround sound system at home -the crowd was creating an awesome atmosphere that nearly succeeded in drowning out Chris Kamara.....

I think we did well tonight I was kinda expecting a draw and I must say that Davis (Prestons no 4) is a dirty fucker, (should play for us he he) the way we played I think we will take it to em at deepdale

My ratings
Sully...........dependable in the main when called upon.......7
Kelly........usual busy self making runs down the right although terribly at fault for their goal........6
Crainey......is far too shakey on the left and gets skinned easily....distribution was poor also......6
Gregan......awful in my opinion....just has no idea...no pace....and looks dodgy when going up for headers....his main strength is when he is on the ball passing out of defence......6
Killa......played well and made crucial blocks and nearly scored but for the post. Should have had a pen too....in the main solid although passing was irratic....8
Miller.....poor.....passing was crap and he looked short of ideas......was easily marked and controlled......6
Bakke.....got stuck in and gave it a go although needs to get in the box and make a presence of himself at set pieces....7
Derry.....was supurb in the middle of the park protecting defence as well as breaking up the play in the middle and helping to drive Leeds forward.......8
Lewis.....in and out of the game far too much. His corners were very poor and hung up too high although he did get stuck in and scored a fantastic goal......7.5
Healy.....just doesnt impose himself enough and really apart from a couple of crosses and the odd run he didnt impress and shouldnt start on monday....preston have got his number marked........6
Hulse.......not easy for him up against the two tall dominant preston defenders and was fed high ball scraps....6
Subs
Stone......tried and made a little difference on the right and uses his head well when passing although speed is a big issue.....6
Blake.....not enough time to impose himself and too many high balls knocked up to him when he needs it at his feet.....he should start on Monday night though.........5
Cresswell......gave the ground a lift when he come on and wasnt afraid to dish it out although didnt contribute anything significant.....might be in with a chance of starting Monday though......5

Cheers Ninj.....in all honesty i think Preston were better although i was pleased with our play at times but as the home team we didnt do enough.
Oh well, fuck it....we got one game, shit or bust........we're still in there fighting....i hope you boys are ready for pens cos i think its gonna happen!

I think pens is likely as you said Preston WERE the better team and knowing the way Preston play they will sit back and play counter attacking football which I hate to admit we can not cope with especially with a talented side as Preston

Watched from the back of a Manc and Scouse filled pub - who funninly enough seemed to want Leeds to win. As one of only 3 Leeds fans amongst the 40 odd gathering even I was as a loss to words as to why KB played (according to SKY TV) a 4-3-3 formation, with Hulse up front on his own,and Healy and Lewis in MF. Why the fuck not call it 4-5-1??? Else play healy up front and call it 4-4-2. Still - cheating Preston created one chance and scored - Cresswell back (and KB's got a few days to sort tactics out) - I'll settle for 1-0 at Deepdale. Don't fancy our chances in the Final though! ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png)
