Hell mate, we NEVER make it easy. The real reason our crowds are down is due to the number of heart attacks suffered by the faithful over the past few years.

IF we get promoted, I don't know what the feeling will be next season. Will we feel relaxed because deep down we can't realistically expect much, or will we be shitting ourselves in case we come back down??
Oh well, time will tell. Maybe put off quitting the fags for another few weeks.
Btw Ro, am coming down to Staff weekend after next. You be allowed out to play?

Interesting point just made on Radio Leeds. - Coventry have taken points off all of the top four. Bearing in mind their current form also, perhaps we should be happy with a point. It's also nice to look at the table now, (despite us still currently been in third). It's the first time since the opening day of the season that Sheffield Utd have lost more games than Leeds. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) At least that's something to take solace from.

Another point worth mentioning is that Leeds are much better at home, and we have two home games coming up within the week ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Eddie Gray has just interviewed Mickey Adams, who has just totally distanced himself from his comments made about wanting Shef Utd to get promotion over us. He's said that all he said was that he wanted to beat Leeds in the same way he wanted Coventry to bet Sheff Utd, and has distanced himself from saying that he'd prefer Sheff Utd to get promotion over us. Hmm. I guess he didn't expect such a media backlash over this, (and the wraith of Paul Butler!)

I just got back from the match, and what a match it was. We were pretty poor in the first and often allowed coventry to get on top of us. We wern't domniated and did have most of the possession, but they played better than us, and did more with the possession they had. Even when we were attacking it was as if we were stuck for ideas of what to do with the ball, we were lacking creativity and rarely produced a shot, just passing it around their box until we lost possession.
A frustating first half made much worse by the goal we conceaded. Kilgallon had a bad half, he defiently didn't look match fit after his absence for a couple of months, defensive lapses caused the goal. And a moment of of woeful defending from Killa a few minutes later almost resulted in us going 2-0 down.
It wasn't going well for us nearly every ball Coventry played came off for them, and nearly every ball we played didn't come off. I thought the referee had done a decent job by the end of the first half, playing the advantage well and very rarely blowing his wistle.
The second half for Leeds was a differnt story, played much better, Coventry played just about as well as they did in the first half but Leeds played significantly better and dominated for almost the full remaining 45 minutes.
It seemed as though a goal was coming, eventually, from somewhere, for Leeds. We were piling on the pressure, shots and crosses were being blocked left, right and center but nothing was going in. Attacks were coming in all the time and only intervaled by Covenrty attacks which never really troubled out defence. I think we hit the woodwork 3 times (at least twice) in the second half and the time kept running out even though it looked like at 87 minutes we should have scored 4 goals by then.
The referee was much poorer in the second half, around half of the decisions he made were wrong for both teams. Coventry defenders handeled the ball on 3 seperate ocassions in the penalty area, thankfully the third time the ref gave a rightful penalty just when Eddie Leiws was going to put in a decisive cross.
After about 2 minutes of Coventry players and fans trying to put Healy off before he took the penalty, he cooly slotted it home with just a couple of minutes remaining.
A deserved goal that was had to belive it came from a penalty and was the only one scored by Leeds.
For spells when Leeds flourshed attacks one after another it reminded me of the late onslaught Southampton suffer at the hands of Leeds earlier in the season (when we won 4-3).
Not a peticularly convincing performance from Leeds, only in the second half did we really start to play, and losing 2 points could have proved costly had Shef Utd won, but they didn't so yet it is another point closer to them. In the circumstances I guess i'm happy with that, but we have to start playing from the beginning of the match not 45 minutes in.
Killa and everyone improved in the second half.
Leeds fans sang their hearts out the entire match as usuall, a credit to the club. Coventry fans were poor by comparission seeming to only really have one song and only made any real noise after they scored, but I have certainly heard worse this season.
Come on Leeds, 4 points away just win all our next matches and we are there!
