Bet you wish you never asked Gillingham is quite a nice little ground No it was very 'enlightening.' And Sumrf's right the Valley is a good place to visit. A nice family club. The good thing about the away end though is you get all of it and can make some decent noise.

Already feeling at home after Monday night's first match at the Walkers, Holloway, trying to get his family up here as soon as possible, said: "I get sad and lonely on my own and I actually adopted a family in McDonalds. "I saw they had Leicester shirts on, so I snuck over and sat down with them. They were very friendly and wished me all the best. It was great." How bizarre! I know he's living out of a hotel but what kind of impression is he setting by eating in McDonalds! ;D I'd have thought his £400k/yr would have allowed for an expensive M&S ready to eat salad! All good fun though!

Hotel life done for already! Welcome to Leicestershire the Ollie family .: Leicester City boss Ian Holloway says things are now coming together both on and off the pitch following an action packed first week in charge. Holloway took over the reins at the Walkers Stadium last Thursday - and can boast a win and a draw from his first two games in charge. Meanwhile, the Foxes chief has been busy securing a base in Leicestershire to allow his family to join him in his new surroundings. And now as he prepares for his third game in seven days against Southampton on Saturday, Holloway confirmed that he couldn't wait to put his roots down in the area and be with his family once again. He said: "I've got my family up here today and they are waiting for me at the hotel. I'm going to take them to see the house that I have sorted. The furniture is coming up on Friday and Saturday and we are going to move in on Sunday. I certainly don't muck around do I?! "I'm fully committed, I'm up here and I just can't wait. It's going to be outstanding. "I have got my family here and I feel human again. Nobody deserves to be on their own in this life and it is absolutely marvellous to have them here. "They haven't seen the training ground, the stadium or the house that I found for us yesterday. "It's a new challenge and a new chapter in our lives. It is just marvellous to have my wonderful wife with me. She has always gone wherever my heart is and we are here now. I just can't wait to show her round."

"My team needs to be strong to play here and they need to be brave. They also need to have some more attacking options. At the moment we are asking kids to be men, but they are getting cheered more than my senior players, which I find unbelievably harsh.
"I like to think that I am a decent human being who has got the ability to help and encourage people. Carl Cort has been sat on the treatment table for the last two weeks. He has got a problem with his knee, but we are trying to tickle him through. He hasn't played or trained for a fortnight, but he saw the scenario and he was willing to come out and play for Ian Holloway and this football club.
"You can ask anyone in their right mind who has ever played football what it is like if you haven't trained for two weeks. In one week you lose your fitness and in two weeks you start to worry. But Carl got off that table and wanted to play for me.
"I did not see someone out there who was not trying. I saw Carl try his heart out for us and he deserved to be encouraged. But I didn't see or hear that and I don't think that is right. If he strode away and didn't try a leg like a Big Time Charlie then I could understand the jeering. But that kid climbed off the treatment table to play for me and play for Leicester City.
"No matter what has happened before - this is a fresh start for all of us. I can't believe that he got jeered in that situation.
"How are young players going to feel when they see a senior player who has achieved what Carl Cort has achieved in the game being jeered? Are they going to feel inspired? Are they going to feel wanted, needed, cherished and loved? Or are they going to feel nervous?
"We are all human beings. You pay your money and you take your choice. I would be the first one to tell him to sort his life out if her didn't try. I saw him try his hardest from a negative starting position.
"I had to play five young kids in my middle four and front two today. That's hard in the Championship. But how are they going to feel if their senior team-mates are getting hammered?
"I need to utilise the maximum out of every member of our squad. We have got to create an atmosphere where they need to feel loved and wanted because surely that will help them play better - particularly at home. We all want the same things.
"I have only just taken over a group of people, but you can't judge me yet because I haven't brought anyone in yet. That is a where a manager stands and falls - on how he adds to a team. But for crying out loud - don't shoot your own foot off with a shotgun. Don't give all your frustrations at where your club has ended up to the people who are trying to put it right now. There will be mistakes and there has been. But what we have got to try and do is stick together right now and march forward."
Holloway also confirmed that he had been left frustrated by the referee's decision to award the Saints a second half penalty.
He added: "I was totally bemused by the decision just like everyone else in the ground. The ball was spinning viciously as it came at Stephen Clemence and he brought it down with his left foot. There was no one near him. He didn't have the best of touches and it spun up and accidentally hit him on the arm. Was he in the box or outside? To my astonishment the referee blew up. I thought he was going to give a free kick to us for an infringement in the box, but then he pointed at the penalty spot. Not one Southampton player appealed - not one. Their manager looked at me and put his hands in the air. I have seen it and it is the harshest decision I have ever seen in my entire life."

100% right Mr Holloway, booing and jeering helps nobody, particularly our youngsters breaking into the first team. Carl Cort, although not very good yesterday is nothing more than a scapegoat for the poor performance of the team and other individuals. Lets get behind the lads.
But also, don't use the fans and the referee as an excuse for what was an extremely poor performance. The players can do better than that and the senior pros need to take some responsibility.

I saw that interview and really thought that he was showing signs of strain. I say that as an observation, not to twist my bitter knife further.

Mandaric will have sacked him by the time that we play at the "Theatre of Crisps," thus denying us the opportunity to sing: "sacked in the morning, you're getting sacked in the morning..." Then again, Mandaric might be in jail by then...

I saw that interview and really thought that he was showing signs of strain. I say that as an observation, not to twist my bitter knife further. I think he is probably surprised somewhat at the size of the task in front of him. Its not a simple fix of a couple of quality players in January. We have serious problems playing at home, a lack of creativity and positivity in all games and a lot of ver promising youngsters in our team who are the future but need moulding slowly into the players and not 'in at the deep end' in a volatile situation as they are in the minute. Having said that I know that, and understand it will be slow and am fully behind Ollie. He will be here in Jan or Feb or whenever we play you.

"I was unbelievably encouraged by the way that we played today and I am in a little bit of shock as to how we have ended up losing that game. "I looked up at the crowd when there was five minutes left on the clock and they were all right behind what we were doing. The volume level was right up. But then we got a bit of a thwack in the nethers. That's how I feel. "The way I feel at the moment is not a feeling that I want for much longer in my life I have to say. "I have seen us play three games at home and we have deserved at least seven points from them if I am accurate in my assessment of things. I don't think we deserved to lose today. "I thought the crowd were spectacular - absolutely outstanding. They got right behind the lads. "I can't thank the people enough. I said one or two things and just look at the response we got from Carl Cort today. That's three games in the last week that he has played and he was terrific. "We went one down to a terrific goal. It was a fantastic little jink and a cross and Gera got in at the far post. You look at West Brom and where they are and that is the difference really. "We have got some injuries and we have got a lot of young players in the squad. The average age of the team was 24 today, which is quite amazing. "My job is to get the most out of these people that I can and to be fair I can't ask for much more than that." "James [Wesolowski] has aggravated his hamstring which is a big blow for us. It looks as though he will be out for the next couple of games, which is very disappointing." _ _ _ _ _ Always look on the bright side of life eh Ollie! Agreed today we were alright but 7 points from the last 3 home games!? 1, which is what we have is a bit harsh, 2 or possibly 4 would have been fairer. I hope he recognises the limitations of this team/squad and is just trying to fill them with confidence through this tough run of games til the transfer window opens.

"The balance of this team is absolute rubbish, everyone is a right back, I'm going to change our name to Right Back United."
