We have a more stable outlook financially, and he wanted to come to here previously but the Milan takeover dragged on and he went to Cov instead. I think he likes the sound of having money to spend but whether he'll be put off massively by whats happened in the past 6 months I don't know.

Are you to become Hearts of England?

Post by GeoFox on Oct 24, 2007 16:26:57 GMT -1
No because Hearts are reasonably good in their league. We're not! We just have the bad stuff that goes on there! ;D

A poor mans Hearts then I think you will surprise a few people and get a decent manager in. I never liked Megson and thought you guys were unlikely to be happy with his appointment.I know I wouldn't be.Hes a similar Pulis.Boring!

Yeah thats it!
Ironically Pulis is one of the people who have been linked with us already!
I wasn't happy with it but prepared to get on with it. He wasn't committed so I'm glad he's fucked off. Stability is needed desparately now.

Why would any club want Megson anyway?

Why would any club want Megson anyway? I know! Especially a Premiership club (although they won't be nextseason now he's taken charge!).

I don't know what these chairmen see in him to be honest... And he doesn't seem to stay in a job for a long time

Despite Megson being a complete tit, i cant find it in myself to feel in the least bit sorry for Milan Mandaric! The leicester fans are the ones i do have some pity for, because they dont deserve their club to be a laughing stock of a pantomime which is exactly what Mandaric has turned it into!

Mandaric brought this on himself because he couldn't handle Martin Allen...

Changed my mind a bit on this now...I'm still annoyed with Megson and his disloyalty, and hope he fails miserably... ...but fair play Milan. We were playing crap, he was probably regretting the appointment and Bolton come along and pay us £300k to take him off our hands. Plus his position was almost untenable after a) his refusal to commit to Leicester and b) the barrage of abuse he got Tuesday night. As for the new guy...Steve Walsh has expressed his interest and RL reckon he's the fans' choice. I disagree, he talks a lot of sense on commentary and says the right things but I so could I. Maybe he'll make a good manager but with Taggart already in the fold, and our problems being with going forward, I don't think appointing an unproven player who was a defender as our manager is a good idea, however much of a legend he was here.

Milan's done the right thing. Only thing worse than not having a manager is having one who doesn't want to be there. Fuck him, he's a twat anyway.
And after this evening's events, "WE WANT MARTIN JOL, WE WANT MARTIN JOL!"
Nicking Dowie off Cov would be hilarious too. Having said that it's our club that's become the laughing stock - on to our 5th manager in 6 months. Milan's got to get it right this time, otherwise relegation is very much on the cards.

Oooo errr hadn't heard that, very interesting! No wonder Sheehan looks like he's gonna crap himself everytime the opposing teams RM runs at him!
If Taggart has it he needs decent support and not from Walsh...that won't solve the creative and goal producing issues we have.

I heard that Taggart insisted on Sheehan pulling out the Ireland U21 game vs England on the basis of religion!! There was knothing wrong with Sheehan who had made a miraculous recovery in time for your game at Scunthorpe! ...and they reckon Martin Allen was a bully??? BTW - i heard this before Megson had gone to Bolton!

Wow that sounds very very wrong. Have to see how it pans out, I'd like to think the chairman would do something about it if its the case. Megson: "I didn't stay there long enough to do that but I don't have a conscience about it. You can't dictate when these chances come along. "I've spoken to a few people and not one of them has said the decision I've taken isn't the right one." WANKER!!
