His heart had to be restarted twice, all things considered we are very lucky he is still with us
The right decision was made, I wouldn't have felt right winning the game under those circumstances anyway

It is very worrying, am just trying to hear exactly what happened. Leicester were losing 1-0 at half time. Clive Clarke (one of our players) collapsed in the changing room and got rushed to the QMC (hospital). Match abandoned. I don't think many of the fans knew what was happening - sounded like there was a lot of trouble between the 2 sets. But thats not what is important now. The fans have to understand why the game was stopped. Apparently he is conscious, though Allen was too emotional to say anything. Lets just hope he is alright - life is more important than a football game, rivalry or not (and I'm not saying that because we were losing). Sod the game, I just hope for him and his family that he is ok. Very, very well said. I hope the guy recovers, because a fourth death in a matter of weeks for football really would be awful. Anymore news on what it might've been Geo? No, I've been at work all day but haven't heard anything that you probably don't already know. His heart stopped twice, couldn't be revived by mouth to mouth so the paramedics had to use a defribulator. I did hear that we offered to forefit the game to Forest but they wouldn't accept. I thought Forest as a club behaved very professionally and nobley throughout, although they perhaps could have kept the fans at the game informed better to prevent an already volatile situation. Thankyou to all the wellwishers...if I ever meet Clive Clarke, I'll pass them on. Its a shame that he may never play football again but the speediness of the paramedics and the 2 clubs involved means he still has his life so a tragedy prevented. As for the rematch, well a forefit would have been my thoughts due to the situation - we don't care about the cup this year afterall. Its not going to feel a great result for whoever wins...and may be particularly controversial if we win 1-0....

I do think its a bit off that those who went to the forest-leicester game have to pay to attend the replay. I know the clubs are allowed to do this as 45mins were played but its the first occasion in our recent history where this has been the case.

Nottingham Forest are to hunt down those responsible for the racist chanting that began after the abandoned Carling Cup game against Leicester City. Although the club says there has been few complaints from members of the public who were present at the game. Click 'More' for the full story.
A minority section of the City Ground crowd began aiming racial abuse at visiting supporters on Tuesday, 28 August 2007.
The incident began after it was announced that the fixture was to be postponed, due to the collapse of Leicester’s Clive Clarke.
It is believed that the incident was short-lived and limited to only a few, but Leicester City messageboards have since been busy with visiting supporters threatening to file official complaints.
Nottingham Forest Safety Officer Alan Bexon said: “It was a minority who made this comment at the end of the game and we will make every effort to identify the offenders.
“Racist incidents at The City Ground are very rare. We are proactive in our efforts to ensure that any anti-social behaviour, including racism, are dealt with positively.
“The new text facility is an example of this and it is hoped that it will be adopted nationwide.”
Bexon did, however, say that the number of complaints he has received is lower than suggested elsewhere.
“I have received one complaint regarding this incident and I am not aware of any others to date.”
It is possible, but not confirmed, that individual Leicester supporters may have complained directly to the FA.
An official complaint was filed to the Football League in 2002 after a similar incident between the two clubs, but Forest otherwise have a clean record with racism.
Anybody found guilty of involvement in the racist chanting is likely to face being banned from the stadium.
Forest recently set up a text message service for supporters to anonymously report anti-social behaviour at home matches, the number is 60066.

I've a strange feeling that Forest's players are going to want to get one over Megson a lot more than our lot are going to want to win for him. If we hadn't just got a new manager, I wouldn't have been overly fussed on the outcome of this game, we were crap first time round.

I bet they do. I remember going to a freezing game there a few years back and that was a Satdy afternoon. I'd have worn thick socks.
