"Joey Gudjonsson may have to make space for two extra items of luggage when he heads to Holland this summer.
He is the favourite for City's player-of-the-year award and, after Saturday, a racing certainty to pick up the goal-of-the- season trophy as well.
Indeed, his sensational shot from the halfway line that left startled Hull goalkeeper Boaz Myhill stranded, must surely be a contender as the best City goal ever.
Foxes fans with long memories still drool over breath-taking goals from the likes of Arthur Rowley, Keith Weller, Frank Worthington and the famous long-range strike from Andy Peake.
More recently we have been treated to superb goals from Muzzy Izzet and Lilian Nalis.
But I cannot recall seeing a better one than Gudjonsson's brilliantly executed 55-yard stunner in the 64th minute of City's 3-2 win over Hull on Saturday.
And let's be clear on one thing. It was not a fluke. Video replays confirmed that.
This was a deliberate shot on goal by the Icelandic international, who went for it after looking up and spotting Myhill well off his line.
The ball was so sweetly struck and travelled at such pace that to describe it as a lob does not really do it justice.
Myhill had no chance of scrambling back to rescue the situation.
It was a wonder goal in every sense - every bit as good, if not better, than David Beckham's long-distance strike against Wimbledon that made the headlines all those years ago.
Gudjonsson, who had set up City's first goal for Iain Hume with a precision pass, went on to fire the winner with another explosive shot in the 84th minute to cap an outstanding individual performance.
It speaks volumes for Gudjonsson's character and professionalism that he shows such commitment to City's cause in the continuing battle to avoid relegation, even though he has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Dutch side AZ Alkmaar in the summer.
He would be a worthy and deserving recipient of the player-of-the-year award.
Hopefully his efforts will also help to claim the much bigger prize of survival in the Champ-ionship. This vital win over fellow relegation candidates Hull certainly boosted City's prospects of staying up, keeping them eight points clear of the bottom three.
It is now four wins, two draws and one defeat in the Champ-ionship since Rob Kelly took over.
With only nine games left, another seven or eight points should be enough.
Kelly admitted City were not at their best on Saturday, particularly in the first half.
The second-half thrills made up for that with Paul Henderson producing a point-blank stop off Jon Parkin that could qualify for save of the season.
The City fans were good as well, letting former boss Peter Taylor know what they felt about him before the kick-off and then concentrating on backing the team.
All in all, it was a memorable day at the Walkers - and we have not been able to say that too often this season."
