What do you think Neko?
Easy 3pts?

The way we've been playing, we should've beaten WBA and could well have taken Birmingham beforehand too - lady luck just isn't smiling on us (that and a certain referee doesn't seem to grasp the concept that play should be stopped if a player is clearly injured ) Even with all our sales and injury woes, we're a side to be reckoned with; we're just not getting the roll of the dice at the moment. Could be an easy 3pts either way, in truth. Of course, if the board sell Barnett to Reading (as rumour says) then I'll change that completely. It'll be easy for you.

You could send out 11 kids to beat us.
We are in freefall with no parachute.

The sale of Barnett would be the moment our freefall becomes contact with the floor.
It's gonna be a battle to see who's not as bad as the other, isn't it? ;D

Well if we come away with the 3 pts it will be the biggest miracle since the last biggest miracle.

This is sounding desparately bad for us, everybody is tipping us to win!!! Trouble is, it's a "must win" game, that puts pressure on us. On the other hand we gave two great performances at Brum and WBA, another one like them and we stand a good chance

Trouble is, we all know well that Luton perform against the top clubs and flounder in games we really should win Still, Springer should help a bit! ;D

Barnsley were awful so it just shows how bad Luton were!! We couldn't string a pass together. I reckon we'd do better if Newell introduced some of them to each other, and reminded them that we play in white. The only player to come out of it with any credit was 'ding-dong' Bell. And as for Springer, well he spent the whole afternoon sitting on the sub's bench.

I really didn't understand that from Newell - why spend £200k on a player and then not play him, especially when we know he can do the job at this level? I've noticed a lot of fans on the BBC 606 are getting very antsy and are beginning to build up to a 'Newell out' air, which is definitely the wrong approach right now - I wonder if they realise just how good a manager we've actually got there?

Well Langley was vey poor (=rubbish) so at the very least Spring could have subbed for him Most of the shouts in the main stand at the end of the game were "Where's the money gone?" and "Tomlins out", I didn't hear anything much against Newell, although there are some comments that he doesn't show enough pation. I agree that Newell is a darn good manager and should stay. I thought he might get the sack after the lines(wo)man comments, but I don't think we can afford to pay him off, so the chances are that he'll stay 'till at least the end of next season. Incidentally in the programme, the Directors were saying that the club loses £1.8 million per year. So basically we have to raise that amount, so it's not surprising we have to sell a player each season.

Newell's never been one to get worked up and show passion on the sidelines though - if he did, I think the players would start panicking, in truth, because it'd mean things really were getting desperate. I can appreciate selling one - or even two - players each season to make up that sort of money, but in the last 12 months we've gotten 9m in and spent about 1m (rounding both up), which leaves 8m. Even assuming they want to cover losses for three seasons, that still leaves 2.6m - so I think we're fully justified in asking where that money's gone. Even if they just came out and said, "Look, we're putting it towards the new stadium" then that'd be something. In truth, I don't believe they are - I don't get the impression the board are here for the long haul at all. If the rumours of a large German company planning a buyout are true, bring 'em on! We could do with a bit of efficiency behind the scenes! (That and their stadium plans sound very appealing!)
