Saturday.......Southend (away)!!! I'd ask Han how to approach beating them, but then she wouldn't know would she! 2 till 10 again?? Doesn't sound ideal. Do you work the same shift every week? We beat them 3-1 at their place! But that was when we were good... ....and when they were godawful!!

So tell us about New York then

Post by Travis on Mar 16, 2007 12:29:02 GMT -1
New York was fantastic thanks, although I'm sure it wasn't as balmy as 'Sunny Norfolk'! When did it cease to be 'Bloody freezing Norfolk' BTW?? Anyway, the first two days were freezing, top temperatures of about -2c, and on an evening it dropped to about -14c!! Picked up markedly by the Saturday though, it was up to 15c by the time I was texting my mate for updates from Elland Road. But saw most of the sites; went up Empire State Building, visited Grand Central Station, The Dakota Building, Strawberry Fields, Central Park etc. on Friday, then went to Ground Zero, and caught the ferry to the Statue Of Liberty and Ellis Island on Saturday. Couldn't get on a 'copter ride though, they were booked up. Spent Sunday wandering around aimlessly, and went to Macy's and Bloomingdales, waiting until the the limo to the airport arrived at the hotel at 3pm. Didn't get much sleep though, my mate snored like a rhino, so got about 9 hours in over 3 nights. Hotel was in a great position though, 30 yards away from the centre of Times Square! Oh, and lived to tell the tale of the taxi ride from the airport where the cabbie reversed 100 yards down the freeway!!

;D Because it's easier to talk about than football! You saying i can't talk football? I know, i like my food ;D You can talk about Norwich City and football all you like my dear. Given the choice between discussing a lamb roast and Leeds United though and we're talking about another thing entirely. And besides, we all know you're going to win again tomorrow.
