I feel a bit more confident now we have signed big Claude Davis. 1 more quality signing and 2 or 3 more decent players who could do a job, and i will we will survive.
my line up:
Paddy, Sommeil, Bromby, Davis, Unsworth, ifill, Jags, Tonge, *another quality player*, webber, kabba
bench - morgan, armstrong, akinbiyi, quinny, monty

would be excellent if we signed Koumas!!!! He's like Monty but only with a footballers brain! (actually i like Monty too lol). Agree about Armstrong - i think he has a great future, i just feel that Unsworths experience might be needed especially at the start of the season. Armstrong breathing down his neck from the bench wont be a bad thing either!

Not too far different from me bt but with a few changes - Paddy, Bromby, Sommeil, Davis, Armstrong, Ifill/new signing, Jags, Koumas(if signed), Tonge, Webber, Prem class target man
Bench- Unsworth, quinn, Kabba, New Keeper, Akinbadbuy
Prefer Armstrong at left back as he is faster than Unsworth and has a better temprement. Prefer Bromby at full back to be honest. Still not sure about Ifill, hopefully this season he can show what hes got. Don't think Webber and Kabba can play in the same side. In the prem we will be found out without a sub goalkeeper. Morgan - thanks very much, now this is the road back to barnsley.

if anyone says horshit, i will be very, very annoyed! Maybe Sir Neil will see someone at the world cup, you never know. The problem, mort, is that so far we've mainly been linked with players in this country. Any prem class target man will be so far out of our price range (ie Beattie to Everton) that we have to look abroad.

I'm sure we will play 1 up front quite a few times next season. He will do a job - but if we are to progress from anything other than a team tryin to avoid relegation, yer i agree, a quality target man is needed. On playing kabba and webber together, well if we can get a ball playing midfielder who can thread through the passes, perhaps they could play together. I rate them both and would love to see a team formation and tactics that would allow them to play together.

We do need to trim down some of the current squad who have no chance of making the step up to premiership though.

huddersfield have been linked with him too. It is a strange situation with Beckett isnt it? I mean he obvioulsy has no future at the club so why dont we just get rid for nowt if need be. It must be his wage that is putting other clubs off.

because nobody wanted Beckett then. Right lads I'm off home, work is over for the day - might be back later, but it means having to kick the missus off the computer, and then I will have to move a telly upstairs to watch the match so don't know yet. Laters
