Three points for the taking.Just need to tighten up at the back. Demerit hasnt been looking his best recently & Mackay isnt cut out for the Premiership. Hopefully Mariappa gets another chance. The Latics ought to be coming us to try & get the three points themselves so we should have plenty of space to play in on the flanks & outside the box. If you could e-mail AB GB aka Top Mentality etc( ;D) is he tracking Billy Sharp of Scunthorpe.Hes got finishing ability aplenty & the pace of a young Tommy Smith & would be a useful acquisition. Cheers to one & all. Is that Kate Moss in the corner ? Grabs a coke.

I watched the match via a live stream and for a scoreless draw, it was an entertaining game.
Hendo missed another sitter to couple with the one v Man U, Hammer was lucky to not give away a pen, we could of had a penalty ourselves.
All in all a point is better than none. But we had chances to seal it, and this could prove regrettable.
With Marlon out we lacked majorly up-front, Darius along with Malky simply can't cut the mustard in this league, hope we have some dough in the bank so we can strengthen come January.
Think Shittu had a good game though, he kind of had a point to prove against his old club I guess.
Sadly Ovechkin8, I don't have his e-mail, might leave a message on the O/S though ;D
The lad Sharp sounds a more reasonable shout than Nugent from Preston anyway!

He didnt really have a chance under Warnock Morton so he took it upon himself to make his career. So a pat on the back to him for that.
He has all thats needed for a decent Championship striker & with age on his side that margin to develop into a squad Premiership striker.
Several lower tier Premiership clubs are tracking him along with Leeds ! & Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Well GNW was harshly treated along with several other players mainly by the idiot Vialli. At one time Jimmy Armfield commented that he & Darren Ward(another we perhaps let go too early) were bound for England honours.
Where are our former heroes & promising youngsters now ? Mooney is doing sterling service at Wycombe.
Colin Pluck went up to Clyde & then Yeovil.Where is he now ? Jerel Ifil is stuck at Swindon.
Perpetuini bounced around the divisions after his spectacular debut v Southampton at Gillingham for one.
Darren Bazely I think is playing in the A-league for the NZ Knights. Peter Kennedy is at Portadown back in his native Ulster.
Allan Smart the fiery off the field striker has been all around the houses MK Barnsley & several Scottish clubs but has never regained his potency that he showed for us.
And the list goes on ......... Raise your glasses for the old faithfuls that have worn the yellow with pride & distinction & those that sadly never made it for one reason or another.

Nicky Wright, Xavier Gravelaine, Nordon Wooter there's quite a few!
Didn't know that Armfield said that!
After making his debut at 16 v Blackpool, Gifton looked to have a bright future, remember him scoring in our 3-2 home win v Sunderland in the 98/99 season when S'land stormed the league?
Shocking how much of an effect that bald twat had on our club when you actually think about it, and the repercussions he left RL et al to deal with were of no problem to him, C*nt!!!
Seriously, I could go on a long rant now you mentioned that dickheads name!! GRRRRRR
Anyway, good news, Marlon is back after his 'injury' for the Boro game tmrw.
U ORNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

Good evening Squire ! Yes the great Armfield spoke his words of wisdom after attending a Watford v Manchester City FA Cup 3rd round game in which GNW scored a peach of a goal but I think we went down 1-3. As for Vialli the man has no shame at all.He pocketed £2M pounds in compensation to boot.He & Petchey really screwed the club up. And to consider that GT had put us £11M in the black despite being relegated from the Premiership. We could be by now a stable Premiership club instead of which ,we've come perilously close to extinction. Gravelaine was a pretty skilled player but decided he couldnt adapt to life in London after his storming debut against the Saints. And saddest of all Nicky Wright. His hair matched his on the pitch commitment esp.that gamne against the Maccams. When players like Jeffers screw around & still earn millions & the likes of Wright all action & no little skill are forced out of the game(again the ignominious boot of the cretin Vialli) then somehting just isn't right. All the same RLs decision to jettison Jack Smith rankles a touch. The kid had potential (FA Youth Cup star) & scored 1 spectaculare . I think Pageys thinking of retiring in a couple of seasons as well. Mortar boards off to KH for your university acceptances. The first year no matter what the degree is a time for playing the field drinking(not in my case) & all sorts of shenanigans (esp.if you go to one of the colleges of the Univ.OF London). ;D

Missed you again squire ! Ah happy days. When GT bought a non descript CF from out of Turkey he nearly turned out to be one ! But you cant fault the chaps determination & work rate a feature common to all of GTs squad at the time . And of course he will forever be immortalised with that goal v the Blues at home. Speaking of which Johnno has joined up with Bazely at NZ Knights. Sch a shame with the knee injuries & a true stalwart. Never was the same again.
