Put my first real-money bets down today Not accumulators (only doubles), but there's not really anywhere else worth posting them! Got Luton to beat York City and Seattle to beat Toronto FC at a combined 7/1, and West Brom to beat Palace and Notts County to beat Darlington at a combined 3.9/1 I've favoured the away team in every game, and in truth, I suspect my beloved Luton are the team most likely to let me down But if they all work out, I'm gonna be about £25 to the good, which'd be a decent enough first-ever result

Good start - thanks Seattle At least the Luton result doesn't matter now...

CRYSTAL FUCKING PALACE! HOW SHIT ARE YOU, WEST BROM?! Apparently, my support is a death-touch. If that's the case, I may well only use my gambling "skills" to bet against Luton in future... ;D

I shall bear this in mind! ;D Have gone for a 'proper' accumulator this weekend, and backed it up with a cheap trebles-from-five to cover my inevitable losses Sunderland vs Manchester UtdBirmingham vs Burnley QPR vs NewcastleWest Brom vs Barnsley (Give them a chance to redeem themselves ) Notts County vs Cheltenham I did get my first win earlier this week though! ;D Put £3 on New York Red Bulls beating Philadelphia Union; got £5.50 back from it. Not an amazing return, but I figured I'd start off little and often and see how I go, getting a feel for things. Won't deny I was rather chuffed seeing the result Edit: Put a small bet on FC Dallas to beat DC United tonight too - both sides winless in 4 this season; Dallas playing away from home but DC having to deal with injuries to seven of their first team, including three defenders and the goalie. Dallas should be able to capitalise on that, surely?

Well, despite West Brom and Dallas's best efforts, my trebles back-up plus another cheeky double on US games means I am now running at a slight profit! (Am now 12.5% up on what I originally put on my account, since you ask ) Long may it continue! ;D

Just put £2 on Argentina, Holland, Brazil and Spain to win their groups (£9.42 return) and £5 on Spain winning their group (£6.25 return). Like I said, just going for a little at a time for now - it's just for fun Am also keeping an eye on the MLS; depending on midweek results and odds offered, I'm tempted by this accumulator... Seattle Sounders vs LA GalaxyToronto FC vs Chicago Fire San Jose vs NY Red BullsChivas USA vs Houston DynamoThere's a couple of others that I'm torn on too, but I guess we'll see!

Right, decisions made! £1 treble on: Seattle Sounders vs LA GalaxyToronto FC vs Chicago Fire Columbus Crew vs New England at 10.01, and a £1 accumulator and 20p yankee (£2.20 yankee total) on: Seattle Sounders vs LA GalaxyToronto FC vs Chicago Fire Columbus Crew vs New England Dallas vs DC United returning £17.29 and £15.40 respectively. The Galaxy and Toronto bets are both on the underdogs, but I really can't see why in either case - Seattle look distinctly average next to Galaxy, and Toronto have been woeful away but very good at home while Chicago haven't been especially strong in either case. Still, boosted the odds a bit, so I'm not complaining!
