Seems like all my mates are going on about this ad nauseum, am I the only one who is totally indifferent to this celluloid 'event'?
Though it does have Simon Pegg and Winona Ryder in it so I might catch it on DVD...

Utterly indifferent to the film.
Not a huge fan of the series either, except when the Borg are present. The series with Captain Picard in charge is watchable, though.

When I were a little un I used to love the original ST and ST:TNG but have completely fallen out of love with it. Mind you the character playing Spock looks remarkbly like the original. Does Winona Ryder get to put on a tight fitting uniform ? Might be the sole exciting part about it.

Just had a look at the trailers; certainly looks better than the Wolverine wank-fest that is X-Men Origins. Given the choice of the two, I'd go for Star Trek hands-down.
Still not planning to go and watch it, but if I were invited by a friend, I'd probably go.

I saw this recently and was really suprised by how much I enjoyed it. The actor who plays Spock is brilliant in my opinion, I would definatly watch the film again though.

That is what my perfect woman looks like, which is probably why I'm still single.
