We won't have any points deducted this season as the deadline for points deductions this season was last week (I believe).
Sad news but in truth it was coming, ah well!

If a team is less than 10 points above the relegation zone, then they'd still get the points deduction this season, as it would be unfair to escape relegation by waiting until after the deadline.
Anywho, we wouldn't get a points deduction because it's the PLC going into admin and not the club, so we can get around that.
Football League will let us know on Tuesday whether they deem it fair/unfair what we're doing (avoiding a points deduction by placing the PLC into admin rather than the club) and could still impose a points deduction.
I think the main worry is keeping the club alive, rather than worrying about relegation... now that the board have resigned it should be easier to get a buyer, as people wouldn't invest before due to personality clashes and disagreements at board level, plus the fact that we're in deep doo doo and the news of our predicament is now national, we should hopefully find a buyer - we have 24 days.
Surely we can find a buyer in that time... in the mean time I'm sure all the stayaways will come flooding back into the stadium... claiming not to feel guilty about staying away and losing us much needed income in the first place.

Rich just thought you might want to see this, it comes from a blog by one of your Supporters club leaders. A man from the sound of it very in the know.... The events of the last two days should have come as now surprise, yet I feel a complete and utter jolt to the system and it has hit home that we may not just be playing 3rd tier football but could indeed face non-existence altogether. I fear that the football league will not let us escape with the “parent company” loophole. If SFC ltd was genuinely solvent and only made up a small section of the PLC we would have a case, but lets not fool ourselves, it’s a little too smoke and mirrors. Southampton Leisure Holdings is listed on the Stockmarket as “the operation of a Professional Football club”. To try to separate entities such as the club, the stadium and the academy as not being wholly dependent upon each other reeks of desperation. I sincerely hope I am wrong on this, but the League introduced a regulation stating that they could now change the ruling whenever they wanted, and this was clearly put in place to stop Clubs trying to avoid point deductions by finding loopholes. It may well be that we end up having the book thrown at us ala Leeds… Here is a link to his facebook campaign, it is an interesting read. www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=683562032#/topic.php?uid=67729837464&topic=10068

So you might get points deducted for next season? I tell you if you get away with out a point deduction it just doesn't seem at all fair, look at Leeds and Luton. Sorry.

Saw the game on the Championship, even though we are scrapping for our lives too I really felt for your fans when they interviewed them.

lol if we don't find a buyer in the next few weeks, the club will cease to exsist. I really hope you find a buyer then. I would hate to see you fold. I wouldn't like to see any club fold for that matter, not even Sheffield Wednesday! Although if they keep on beating us I might have to revise my standpoint on that one It seems to have spiralled downhill frighteningly quickly. I used to think of you as a pretty well run club that proved you don't have to be enourmous to be able to sustain a long run in the top division. Really hope something turns up for you.

I thought your 15 point deduction was heavy handed until Luton got 30! But what you say is true. Much as I don't want to see Southampton go bust, after what happened to you, Bournemouth, Rotherham and Luton it would not seem fair if they didn't get a points deduction.
