www.leedsfilm.com/Are you going, Trav? (Or anyone else?) I'm working it, so let me know which shows you're going to Had a quick look at the site the other day. There doesn't seem to be much in the guise of high profile films, nothing that rings any bells from Cannes or the Sundance Festival, though I may need to look harder. The horror night does look fun though, some twisted look stuff scheduled! ;D It'd be nice to have an arthouse place in the city centre, pity really that The Carraigeworks doesn't have a more regular screenings programme, especially for re-released classics.

Yeah, I can't wait. I was looking in the brochure and there looks to be some quite interesting ones on. Although I'll be looking down a lens for most of it!

We get t shirts Ooh freebies!! ;D Are you gonna get to visit most venues then? Bit strange that - apart from Aguirre - they're not showing more acclaimed old films in unconventional venues. For that West Leeds Festival thingy earlier this year they did a couple of drive-in movies in Pudsey and Screen Pan's Labyrinth in a lounge bar. Even something (weather permitting) in Millenium Square would've been good.

Hmmm, I really couldn't tell you!! ;D It's voluntary unfortunately. I saw some trailers for some of the films tonight at a meeting at the Town Hall, some of them look really great! I definitely want to go see Mermaid. I'm photographing and filming during these films: Rumba The Wrecking Crew Fantastic Parasuicides Tabu With Inecto School and then at the Short Film City event. Did you know it was actually somebody from Leeds who 'invented' the moving image? So if you go to any of those events, I'll give you a wave....and maybe take a photograph and get a vox pop from you. I've got to interview some of the directors and actors - scary!
