We've said goodbye to Nigel Pearson ( ) And appointed two dutch fella's - Jan Poortvliet and Mark Wotte. The pair are on less wages combined than Nigel Pearson himself, This is a cost cutting measure as we are skint. We have no money whatsoever for transfers. The club has also announced that the youth, reserve and first team will all train together, as we plan on using much of the youth and reserve team in the first team next season.Looks like we'll be selling anyone who can get us any money... Goodbye Rasiak, Skacel, Surman, John, Davis, Davies etc... Eeek. Jan Poortvliet's red and white army! ;D

My condolences, given last season's performance looks like you're down the sh*tter You'd have thought investors could be found in South Hampshire wouldn't you?! Ridiculous to see Saints struggling like this

"We also believe our ability to attract young loanees will be enhanced as large clubs will be happy to send their youngsters to a club where they know their own youngsters will be looked after and brought on in the way they would expect." "They plan to play the traditional Dutch attacking football, building from the back with a neat, technical passing game fired by talented young players who can outrun and outwork the opposition" Hmm will this work in the championship

We have a few good youngsters, Adam Lallana, Olly Lancashire, Simon Gillett and Lloyd James will all feature I expect.
I'd much rather we played them than high waged has-beens like Alex Ostlund, Darren Powell, Inigo Idiakez etc.

From play-offs to relegation battle in just one season. Same happened to us, and Leeds went from play off final to relegation in one go!

Leeds went from Champs league semis to league one rather quickly. 'Tis a sorry state when that happens but only goes to show it is money that gets you anywhere now.

If I was a Saints fan I'd be seriously fucked off right now. You're in a bit of a Catch-22 situation after what went on before. No money, a massive debt, spiralling costs and a poor squad of players.

EDIT: Can't see us keeping John or Surman (need to raise £4mill in transfers apparently)
Think we'll sell: Viafara, John, Surman, Rasiak, Skacel and Davies
Bialkowski
Wright Thomas Powell Mills/Lancashire
Licka Gillett Safri Euell
BWP Mcgoldrick/Saganowski (if we keep him)
Lallana, James, Hatch to feature regularly from bench.

Optimistic view: Maybe this is the fresh start with an unknown manager who could become great for us. Realistic view: Probably going to struggle and end up in the lower leagues eventually if we get no investment Pessimistic view: We're in deep shit I'm not sure which view I currently have
