Just got back now, glad you stayed up, the pitch invasion at the end was excellent. Shame it wasn't wednesday who went down. Thanks mate, your fans were a credit to your team Was nervy near the end... thought Sheff Utd would give up, what with play offs being out of reach, but you kept on fighting which made for tense finale... good game for the neutrals. Before the game I was saying how a pitch invasion would be silly and how staying in the championship is barely anything to celebrate, but when that whistle blew... ultimate relief. I sprinted down the steps, hopped over the advertising boards and danced around like a fool. Aye, our fans were relatively good, had some excellent banter with your fans to left. Under Robson we'd have been 1-0 down after 5 minutes, with everyone getting on the players backs, which is where Blackwell has distinguished himself. Game was pretty good, we were 2nd best throughout, I can't really argue with the score. Surman down the left (I think) destroyed us, looked a very player.

Some good fancy dress costumes too ;D Indeed.. the amount of cross Surman put in the box first half was unbelievable... Stern and saga wouldn't gamble though as they are shit most of the time. Ironic how the crappest cross ever by viafara lead to saga's goal. Was Cotteril taken off because of Surman playing so well? or was he injured?

I have no idea where Geary buggered off to then, just allowed him to cross, which just seem to very slow fly past everyone It looks like Cotterill was take off to give us a better shape on the right, Geary was getting destroyed, which is a surprise.

It's always good to see fans having a good time I think the cross took a deflection if i remember rightly, so it was a little harsh, especially as Killgallon had been defending balls into the box very well - Shall see on the championship highlights on Itv - 11.50pm. Good luck for next season anyway, I like Brammal Lane so will probably return again.

Cheers, wouldn't mind going to St Marys again, ground was impressive, leg room was decent, which was irrelvant as everyone was standing . People were friendly enough (Very hard to understand though).

That picture really tells the tale of yesterday. It was beautiful seeing the scenes that developed at the end and how much staying up meant to most people down here. I'll never forget the whole of yesterday. I was a complete neutral in truth and it wouldn't have hurt me too much to see Saints go down just for the stick I received from mates down here for last season. But I was glad for them. My Girlfriend who is a Saint, was nuts yesterday, never seen so many emotions displayed all rolled into one! "Its all over" she kept saying when the blunts were winning, it was getting on my tits! A kiss when Saganowski and John scored, sat down in a slump when the Blunts equalised then jumping like a mad man hugging strangers when it was 3-2! Then she cried at the end, it was quite sweet, haha. I guess the emotion got to her. I thought Saints deserved the win although they made it hard for themselves. Surman was immense, it was like he was the man they looked up to, to supply the drive and belief they could pull through. Great finishing from Stern John particularly for the 2nd and this refereeing shit where you get a yellow for taking your shirt off is down right fucking stupid. Luckily it didn't cost them. I thought Killa was great yesterday for the blunts, how is header in the first half didn't go in I'll never know but for me that was a major turning point. It was a great atmosphere in the city last night, and even better for me personally as the Hampshire boys won too with one of my best buds sealing the win and some of them came out for drinks after their game at the Rose Bowl to celebrate. All in all, a great day!

Glad you enjoyed the day James. Hopefully some scouts were watching Surman and are willing to pay some good money, because that performance made him look excellent, when in truth he is been dire this season

Geary has his strong points, but positional sense is not one of them. I feel that right back is a weak area for us, and one that we need to strengthen along with several others!) for next season. Anyway, congratulations to you Rich and all Southampton supporters. It probably feels as good as if you'd been promoted, and perhaps makes up for your unfortunate play off defeat last season. But, can't help feeling sorry for Leicester supporters.

Well done Rulesaints! You won't be surprised to learn that Geofox considers the Blunts to be "Fucking wankers. A horrible club!" after today. Were there many close escapes in the final stages?? well....... he didn't have to say it!
