erm.. blades 6-0 spurs in about 92/93 i think. oh i saw blades 5-4 brighton in 89/90 too!



2. whats the most amount of red cards youve seen in a single game?

gotta be the battle of bramall lane - blades v wba 2001/02 i think



3. do you sing at matches or do you simply sit back and enjoy the fantastic football?

SING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lots and lots - cant remember



5. have you witnessed a penalty shoot out?

yep, blades v blackburn fa cup semi, blades v cov fa cup semi, blades v west ham fa cup 4th round -- won them all




6. do you go to away games, if so, how often?

yep, get to about 9 or 10 a season -- more if ive got the money and im in the wife's good books lol




7. whats your clubs speciality food/snack?

gotta be pukka pies or greasy chip butty

any v wednesday!




9. whats the worst match youve ever been to, why was was it bad?

kin ell, i watch sheff utd, most of them are shocking!!

yep - had a season ticket since 1980

Of the top of my head...Milwall 6-1 Colchester in 1999


2. whats the most amount of red cards youve seen in a single game?

erm...I think it was Away at Burnley this year. we had 3 sent off and they had 1 red card. I was a proud member of the 77 Millwall fans present!


3. do you sing at matches or do you simply sit back and enjoy the fantastic football?

I go fucking mental at away games...not so much at home matches

no idea...Neil Harris has got a few but a Paul Ifill hat trick away at Cambridge united in 2000.


5. have you witnessed a penalty shoot out?

Yep. Against Birmingham in the carling cup this year. We lost!

Normally around 18/19 per season


7. whats your clubs speciality food/snack?

They always seem to be out of stock in the area I sit. I'm normally lucky to get some chips!

Neil Harris away at Watford on new years day 2002. It was his first goal since the cancer problems he had and it was actually an amazing goal.

Millwall 0-6 Rotherham. Opening day of the season in 2002. I don't think I need to explain as to why it was bad.

Birmingham in the '99 semi final playoff springs to mind ;D

Not as often as I'd like, about 6/7 a season.

Nicky Wright's overhead kick v Bolton at Wembley 1999 or one of Peter Kennedy's left footed wonders.

v Notts County 1996, nearly froze my nads off, and was a v.poor match aswell.

I don't live very close, but I will next season.

Otherwise Blades 7: 0 Ipswich (about 1972)
(my best mate was at college in Stockton and saw Middles borouhgh beat Wednesday 8-0!)
Highest aggregate: Wednesday 5: 4 Man. U. (but I still say Jack Whitham only scored a hattrick; His '4th.' was a Nobby Stiles own Goal)

2. Probably Rotherham reserves v. Palace res.when Malc Allison was boss at Palace. The ref. even sent one off in the tunnel after the game. Otherwise Blades v. some Italians (Intertoto Cup).

3. Used to before all-seater Stadia; it's not the same sitting down.

6. I peaked at about 15 one season, when still at school and used to go a lot with the family enclosure trips when my kids were little(r).

8. A friendly reserve game, Blades 1- 4 Sunderland (sunderland's res.s wern't in a league at the time.) Tom Fenoughty scored the most amazing goal for United's consolation. Think Eddie Gray v. Burnley and double it!

9. Boxing Day Massacre (cos of the repercussions: I lived at the side of Hillsborough Park at the time). But for on the field reasons, Blades 1 - 2 Hull City 1970/71 season. Both clubs going for promotion, and only a few games left, Hull came out to maim and United retaliated. At one point, the ref. called the 20 outfield players into the centre circle, and read them the riot act. Ken Knighton tried his best to break Tony Currie's leg but wasn't even cautioned, never mind being sent off. The one and only time I've left the ground looking to beat up on a rival fan, and the first Hull fan I saw was my cousin, Andy, from North Ferriby, So I didn't even get that satisfaction!
All's well that ends well, they say, and with a run in that inluded Blades 5-1 Cardiff(also in promotion race) and Blades 3-0 Watford, the blades went up and Hull didn't and to this day are the largest city never to have experienced top-flight football.
