Alright POG Yeah not bad mate, good to see you posting on here again, still working up in the north east? My Forest mate at uni is convinced you'll not go up via the playoffs again

My Forest mate at uni is convinced you'll not go up via the playoffs again Yes, I'm working at the City Council through an agency at the minute but I've had some interviews recently so hopefully things are looking up. Not sure what's going to happen with us really, but we still have to go to Doncaster and Carlisle - win those and there's still a chance. Time will tell.

Hey GT, could you handle another season in league one? I have a feeling you will go up, even if through the playoffs, if not Calderwood has to go.

But sacking calderwood is not the answer, whatever the outcome this season, clubs outside the prem need stability.

But sacking calderwood is not the answer, whatever the outcome this season, clubs outside the prem need stability. Isn't Aidy Boothroyd the longest serving manager in the Championship. My point is, that it would of been Calderwood's third attempt to get Forest up and if he fails, then he hasn't achieved his objective set by the board. But I do agree with your point of view, but sometimes a change could be a good thing.

Its a shame to see such a big club outside the top two tiers of English Football to be honest, hopefully not for too long. Boothroyd - yep thats correct, hence why the division is so poor this season

Boothroyd - yep thats correct, hence why the division is so poor this season I totally agree, the Championship is a mad division, but an interesting one. Due to lack of stability the likes of Bristol City, Stoke, Hull and Plymouth have an excellent chance of promotion and in essence these teams would normally be expected to struggle, not your Leicester's, Coventry's and Southampton's. Wolves still have a chance of sneaking it, no team is really making waves like Reading and Sunderland (2005) did.

It will be CC's second attempt Mozz but point taken. I'll reserve judgement for now, due to my change in circumstances I have to put my hands up and say I've not been to a game this season (and until I have a 'permanent' job that won't change - though I should make the Carlisle away game) so I can only go by accounts from people on messageboards, the radio and the odd match on SKY. Generally the football seems to have been decent and he has on the whole brought in some decent signings, but whether that will be enough for him to fulfil the board's base requirement of promotion remains to be seen.
To answer your earlier point though, if we stay in League One, so be it - most important thing is to have a club to support in whatever league that may be. I'd obviously prefer a Championship campaign though!

I fear the three that do eventually get promoted will struggle in the premiership, might create a mini league with three Derby Countish teams (no offence). I expect the team who makes the late charge into the playoffs to go all the way, need to replicate season 2002/2003, we made a late charge and went all the way . WBA should have really ran away with it, but in typical WBA style they fuck it up again ;D

Good luck in the job search mate, I hope things turn in your favour really soon and the same goes for Forest. Admire the point of having a team to support, and hopefully your faith will be soon rewarded.

Cheers Mozz, the job thing will be fine, I've only just started pulling my finger out now though. Apart from general apathy both temp assignments have been in places with a fair amount of eye candy so it's been worth the shit wages It is time to put some proper foundations down though if I'm serious about making a life up here.

I certainly didn't think Bristol City would be where they are, they were no great shakes last season and they've hardly added to their squad. I think they might squeeze through now though, and they will take a pounding most weeks.

Good for you mate, temping fills a gap, but it's your recruitment agency that's laughing really, but it's better than staying at home with nothing to do and you are meeting new people. Keep us updated on how you're getting on.

However, you are in a position to obtain more good references which can only assist you in your quest for future prosperity
