i dont think thats all present and correct to be true...ive been to pompey on a few occasions (friends a season ticket holder) some times they can really raise the roof like most fans but a lot of the time theyre very quiet, and the band there really has no sence of rythm at all!!! and as ancient points out...does this account of attendance...i peronally would of thought man utd or liverpool would of been noisier?

Michael, a fan of struggling Leeds, is now collating chants from all Championship clubs to establish a league table.
He added: “I’m dreading going to Elland Road. The way it’s been going this season I reckon opening a packet of crisps will make more noise than us.”

i can sympathise...us royals were famous for our atmosphere (more lack of) but this year we've really turned a corner, the accustics are still shite and the north stand still sing songs the rest of us aint lol but we've really got into it this year...i just hope we've turned a corner and our fans have realised getting behind your team has to be done for every game, every season!!
