I know Trav is an aficionado but this really is THE British film of the past few years, incredible. To my mind, only 'Twenty Four Hour Party People' comes close

I know Trav is an aficionado but this really is THE British film of the past few years, incredible. To my mind, only 'Twenty Four Hour Party People' comes close Paddy Considine is the British De Niro, and Richard is the British Travis Bickle. Extraordinarily good film, GT. The most notable tour de force performance by any actor in many years. Oh and another good call, 24 Hour Party People is fantastic too. I'd also add My Summer Of Love to the list as well.

I keep telling my mates about it but they don't seem interested They'll learn, it's a spellbinding performance - I also love the East Midlands settings and accents!

Any film with Perry 'You Rang M'Lord' Benson in it must be class ;D
Seriously, Meadows is shaping up to be a fantastic maker of films (well, he already is)
But do watch A Room For Romeo Brass, Considine is as gleaming as ever, and the climax of the film is something to behold

He's a born again Christian and unsurpsingly good, I'd recommend In America and Cinderella Man from his back catalogue too if you haven't seen them. He's also very good as the handyman/gardener in Stoned, although the film is a bit 'hit and miss'.

I have nearly bought 'Stoned' on a couple of occasions, not sure I will though It's a 'watch once' sort of film. MSOL is on sale at £2.99 in my local Morrisons, that's so ridiculously cheap, I actually felt annoyed!! I always feel insulted though when HMV sell Taxi Driver and The King Of Comedy at the same price though. Anyway, I'll have to sleep soon. Seeya around GT.

Been in Manchester for a few days and yesterday at Piccadilly Station I met...
Big Al from Dead Man's Shoes! He was very approachable, was happy to have a ten minute chat and when I rang my mate who is also a big fan he spoke to them!

I bet he was chuffed someone recognised him - a bit like when i spotted Tim Brooke Taylor at Southampton away, he was made up that we knew who he was! ;D ;D
