That doesnt surprise me in the slightest. Its getting completly out of hand! The Leeds fans are standing up against it now though; the stewards go up the stands telling each row to sit down, and when a row won't sit down,a nd someones about to be thrown out the chant- 'stand up and sing for leeds', goes up and the stewards have to back to the bottom again. They usually give up at half time

Its Great to see that the fans want to stand. It annoys me when they allow 1000s of people to stand at a rock concert in a football stadium but not fans watching their game.
After posting on the bbc 606 site Tara the manager commented and made it the managers pick. This may raise the profilea little more!

Well this safe standing campaign will mean that a certain section will be for people that wish to stand. Then the rest of the stadium sitting. That way you wouldnt have people standing infront of you in the games because they would be in the designated areas.
As we all know the standing was reviewed after terrible accidents like Hillsborough, This is for safe standing. As mentioned in a previous post, gone are the days of fans being penned in by fences and hooligans in the terraces.

Well mine name's added too. About time people stood up to the authorities who seem hell bent on sanitising our national game.

I wonder if petitions work? Look how may people texted to sign Make Poverty History - we still charge ridiculous tariffs on any African nations trying to export manufactured goods.

Added my name a while back when I first heard about it, I think there's no reason why it shouldn't work. At Watford they have no problem with supporters standing during matches, and currently there's a bunch at the back of the Rookery who stand for 90 mins. That's not for me as I prefer resting my legs every so often but I pity clubs where fans are forced to sit.
