If men can referee female football, women should be able to referee mens football, as longs as standards are maintained, I don't see the problem?!

Abuse from the crowd is part and parcel of the game.
Abuse from players = Yellow card. It's not difficult.
I work with 2 females who are the same level as me and I can tell you they can swear and dish out the bollockings as good as any bloke.

So long as they do a good job, then I think they should be given a go. It's about time the likes of Poll had some competetion!

I have no problem with female officials, but the ones doing the job presently aren't up to scratch - they really do seem like a token gesture, which is definitely wrong. I do wonder if women generally perhaps lack the mentality needed to make some of the harder calls in closer/bigger matches (note the use of the word 'generally' there; I appreciate that some women are hard as nails mentally!), and that could be a negative point. That said, until we let them try, we'll never find out! At risk of sounding sexist, the point raised earlier about PMT is one that would seriously need to be considered I'm sure most women on here will agree that women generally can become quite irrational at times when on 'that time of the month' - would they perhaps have to be excused from officiating that week?

Neko I have to exalt you for that, what a brave soul lol !!! I particularly like your line of 'being excused from officiating that week'. You may have a point, perhaps we ladies should suggest a week off out of every four to our employers, I'm sure it would go down well with some ! ;D

I have mastered the art of diplomatic wording, I think Things that would earn most guys a kick in the crotch usually get me a playful slap on the shoulder and nothing more ;D Yes! Ask for a week off! We men can then claim equal rights and get a week off too! Everyone wins!

Discuss, do you think we should have Female Referees and Referees' assistants in Championship and even Premiership matches? Mike Newell doesn't but the FA does. Personally I think maybe they should stick to refereeing Women's football. What do you think? ITS A MANS GAME, THEY SHOULD STICK TO SUPPORTING! Men can be men without women getting involved on a pitch, until now. It is just PC bullshit =]

She made a mistake, just the same way male refs do
