That if you add up all the results played in the top flight of the English football, Everton are the most successful side ever?? "During their 102 seasons in the top league, Everton have played 3986 matches, winning 1623, drawing 977 and losing 1386, which gives them (using the old system of two points for a win) 4223 points. That's better than second-placed Liverpool (4192 points), Arsenal (4116), Aston Villa (3879) and fifth-placed Manchester United (3774), all of whom have played considerably fewer seasons in the top flight. Newcastle, Manchester City, Sunderland, Tottenham and Chelsea make up the top 10."

gives the same games won etc, but different points..... (must be down to change in points for winning) since success is measured in trophies not points i'd see Liverpools 18 titles vs evertons 9 as more important. i'd also like to point out on your table everton have played near 400 more matches, but ONLY have 110 more points!

MORTON: This one is done via league points earned ONLY! Done differently obviously another team would be in top spot!! Just pointing out that from the league ONLY, Everton are the most successful! It's hardly gonna be the Blades or the Hornets is it?! ;D

It's hardly gonna be the Blades or the Hornets is it?! ;D LOOK AT THE TABLE I BOUGHT UP! Yours : 1. Everton 103 4024 1637 985 1402 6321 - 5683 4259 Mine: 3. Everton 103 4024 1637 985 1402 6321 - 5683 4643 BOTH ARE TOP LEAGUE ONLY!THE REASON : YOURS COUNTS ALL WINS A BEING TWO POINTS! as said at the point. AS SUCH LIVERPOOL HAVE WON MORE POINTS! as the system changed to 3 points for a win WHICH IS SHOW ON MY TABLE www.the-english-football-archive.com/records/1st_level_table.htm WHICH SHOWS THE SAME DATA AS YOURS, BUT UNLIKE YOURS RECOGNISE THE CHANGE FROM 2 POINTS FROR A WIN TO 3!you got it?

if you read the top of the page it says all wins are worth 2 points!
i'm not sure when, but the system changed from 2 points for a win to 3 points for a win.
as such Liverpool have actually collected more points through out their history (ie the table i showed)
