Sheffield United, walked of the Pitch at Arsenal once, for their "ungentlemanly conduct" That was that dodgy throw after the injury when arsenal didn't give the ball back isn't it and then they scored! ;D

Sheffield United, walked of the Pitch at Arsenal once, for their "ungentlemanly conduct" any more details, i sort of remember this, how was it resolved. what happened we kicked the ball out for an injured player, so expected the ball back, arsenal played on as normal and scored. so steve bruce pulled the team off the pitch. the game ended 2-1 to them, but arsene wenger offered to reply the match....that match end 2-1 too

Zimbabwe: Soccer Team Ousted for Refusing to Play on Saturdays
Known all over Zimbabwe and much of Africa for stopping rival teams from scoring, the Amazulu football (soccer) team have themselves been stopped in their tracks. The team's equally well-known policy of not playing on Saturdays -- the Bible Sabbath for team owner Delma Lupepe -- last Friday led to the team's ouster from Zimbabwe's Premier Soccer League (PSL).
As a Seventh-day Adventist, Lupepe observes Saturday as the Sabbath, a day he spends in worship and fellowship, avoiding "common" work, as the Bible commands.
But a PSL disciplinary committee has ruled that the team be suspended indefinitely from the league for a stance that has been part of Amazulu policy for 10 years.
"We will not play on the Sabbath because it is contrary to the will of God," Lupepe told ANN in a phone interview Nov. 7. "We can't change our position or compromise because we believe the Bible is valid and we believe in the Ten Commandments. We are prepared to leave the league permanently if necessary."

Matches get abandoned all the time in Argentina, was only last week in a game when police threw tear gas everywhere, and including the pitch in the 15th minute because of a mass riot in the stands....

Remember a massive rivalry in Brazil, when Tevez scored for Corinthians and it got disallowed because he 'fouled' someone in the build up, it was a woman lineswoman and the players rushed over to her, abandoned the game for 10-20 mins for her safety, then later in the game a fan came on the pitch with a knife, had to stop the game again!

Sunderland V Fulham was abondoned because of the heavy snow fall. Snderland won the replay. Wish it would snow every week. Then Europe would be ours!
