Cos Gres was always better ;D Nice to see some new names towards the tops too - the likes of Jules, Thales, CYS, Dennis Wise and Chopper. Thanks to all who took part (even those who flirted at a few holes) and well done to all! PS - can someone check the 1st Hole please and see if Sterland has managed to get out of Granny Clark's Wind yet

3rd...now I consider that a great personal achievement. Think thats the best collaborated score I've achieved in my short and sweet captioning career.
An exalt must go to the man who unleashed the captioning capabilities within me. But seeing as so much effort has gone in (and just because I can) I'll times that exalt by 5! ;D
I must say Ro, a very refreshing concept and I think it works when you change around the format like that. I look forward to a potential Ryder Cup style game should it materialise.

Cheers Brucie! Glad my efforts were appreciated - and well happy that more people took part (even those who only played a few holes).
To be honest I felt the 'same old format' was becoming a bit stale and even the die-hards were tiring of the games (apart from Gres and Pastie perhaps - who time permitting would post captions 24 hours a day ;D ).
Hopefully, the new format will appeal and encourage new players to the games - which is partly why I won't be running them week in week out.
As to the Ryder Cup - I've already got a Matchplay style game sorted which I'll try out in the New Year. Then I'll probably go for the Ryder Cup - depends on numbers willing to commit to the event which would likely to be over 36 holes; four-balls, then singles (might be a bit too long though).
The concept of two captioning captains being selected, then sorting out their four-ball pairings and the draw for singles would be an interesting exercise in itself.

I'd never caption for more than 18 hours a day

Sorry forgot about the marking time ;D And I notice you still ain't had a dabble on the Practise Courses yet. And there's been some very funny entries so far! Just because you won - it might worth tightening up your action on your swing, and perfect your short iron game. Besides, I bet you don't see Tiger Woods resting on his laurels

All fair points, coach, but I am also meant to be marking coursework...

All fair points, coach, but I am also meant to be marking coursework... Plenty of time mate - not starting the next Caption Game till a week Sunday! Just wouldn't want you to forget and deprive us all of your perception, wisdom and the side-splitting caption you'll ultimately come up with

Hello, been away for a few days... I'm delighted to have taken the runner-up spot, made up Exalt for Ro and thanks to those others who made this possible - my parents, the shoddy workmanship at Durex, Chichester NHS Hospitals Trust, and the brewing and distilling industries as a whole!
