can your mate do the cosmetic stuff too then? cause its more expensive than you think when new pannels are involved. if it looks the same on the other side might want to raise your budget on repairs a bit. still would be cheaper than 11k though just down to if you think its worth the time and effort

Its a follow up to a chance conversation we had in the Summer.

I had a dent like that a week after getting my Corsa, then 2 month later I smashed my car up on the A38 and they thought it was damaged in the accident (mate of mine in the car at the time worked at the place which repaired it)

Hmm, the new bonnet for the Mini will be pricey as it has the headlight array built into it.
The A3 looks shafted as it may well need major work to sort the engine bay out (at least a new cooling system/radiator) and it might well have twisted the chassis and so the tracking might be a mile off true as the nearside wing doesn't look intact which isn't a good sign after a shunt/headon.

Going to a damaged repairable car auction in Featherstone this morning. Do you think this Mini Cooper S is worth a punt? I would be sure to find out if the car has been written off, probably has. Insurers have a central list as doe the DVLA and this will be logged to the vehicle. This can cause you issues when insuring the vehicle and also deminishes its value, as this info will come up if the buyer does a HPI check, so tread carefully.
